Music Concerts: 'Kenya Opera'

The Kenya Opera Kenya Meets Vienna was a concert that presented high quality classical opera. The show featured featuring excellent international and local artistes. Singers from Kenya, Austria and the USA performed songs of Mozart, Lehar, Straub, Stolz, Kalman and many more.

The GoDown has found that contrary to popular perception, there is an avid following for classical music, thus, with a view to nurturing this interest in classical music, the GoDown has committed to hosting classical music events.

 

In addition, in partnership with the Kenya Conservatoire of Music, the GoDown has started a programme that supports training in classical instruments - piano, string and wind instruments - as well as voice.

 

Kenya meets Vienna was the true classical extravaganza of this year.
