This April 28th from 4:00pm at The GoDown, come and engage with the creative process of Performance Lab 2 Open Studio Series 2: Place of the Spectator. This is a collaborative process for contemporary dance creation, placing choreographic work within a broader cross disciplinary frame. Works being displayed include Adam Chienjo’s “Unknown” – which infuses space with a tranquil meditative stillness, Jack Atuloh’s “Ministries of Holy Fire” – which takes inspiration from competing religious sects using the language of street procession, and Opiyo Okach’s “White Flag” – showing the multiple ways by which we identify ourselves and by which others perceive us. Entry is free.
